Calcium formate is a preservative.  In the manufacture of animal feeds, it is recognised for its antifungal, antibacterial and acidifying properties.

It promotes the health of farm animals. Added to feeds,

it prevents diarrhoea and improves the condition

of the digestive tract.

It promotes body weight gain, particularly in young animals.

It is recommended especially for piglets when weaned. Calcium formate helps to stabilise the pH value in animals and protects the digestive tract by strengthening the mucous membrane

of the bowels.

In the construction industry, calcium formate is added

to concrete, cement, tiles and different adhesives. It accelerates the bonding of substances and the hardening of materials

used in construction.
