Cinnamic Aldehyde

Cinnamic aldehyde is an organic chemical compound

with insect-killing properties and strong antioxidant

and antibacterial effects. It prevents the growth of bacteria responsible for weakness, loss of appetite, diarrhoea

and growth impairment.

It also keeps harmful bacteria off the digestive system and helps improve the immune system.  Its flavouring properties improve the flavour of feeds and foodstuffs for human consumption.

This compound is also used in the manufacture of cosmetics

and perfume.

Cinnamic aldehyde is used as a feed additive that improves

the flavour of feed and stimulates appetite. Farm animals

are more likely to eat mixed feed. This improves the efficiency

of feed use, and the animals gain weight faster

and are healthier.
