Precipitated Silica

Silica, also known as silicon dioxide, is one of the main chemical materials used in industrial production. It is an inorganic compound most commonly used in feed and rubber production as the basic material of the final product.

Precipitated silica is used as a filler in animal feeds and feed additives. In the rubber industry, it is used to improve

the durability and strength of rubber materials used for products such as automotive tyres, gaskets and other rubber products. Additionally, silica dust is used to make ceramics, electronics and water glass.

When in gel form, it prevents condensation. The gel is added

to packaging materials for electronics and clothes. It is added

to cat litter as well.

BECG can supply different types of silica for both feed and rubber manufacturing. Silica is available as powder or granules.
